Dairy and Heifer
The Hallmark Feeds dairy line is a full coverage feed system that has been designed to handle the needs of every dairy farmer. While individual farmers know their animals best, our dairy line is meant to provide the best foundation available for farmers to cater to their herd’s needs.
These feeds are to be fed to dairy cattle on a limited corn silage program where a substantial quantity of top quality hay or haylage is being provided. Be sure to provide adequate amounts of fresh, clean, cool water at all times. It is also best if animals at different stages are penned or pastured separately from each other, as they will have different needs.

16% High Energy Dairy
Formulated to keep milk production up, our dairy feed meets every nutritional need of a milking dairy cow when fed in conjunction with quality hay or forage. To be fed after calving, be sure that the calf gets the initial milk from the mother as the first few days are vital in the calf’s development and their mother will produce colostrum to meet their needs.

24% Dairy Top Dress
When your cows have been cared for in every way, and you need to boost production, supplement their feed with 24% Top Dress. This is designed to increase production passed the capabilities of a basic feeding program. It is required though that their foundational needs have been fulfilled. To be fed at a rate of 3 to 3.5 pounds for every 10 pounds of milk above base feeding program.

After drying off, a cow’s specific needs do not end. While different than their needs while milking, a dry cow’s needs are equally as important to milk production the next time around. Our 14% Dry Cow is completely fortified and designed to supply the correct levels of critical vitamins and minerals to the animal and her calf. To be fed at a rate of 5 to 6 pounds per head per day. Available with Rumensin with special order of 500 pounds or more.

This feed has been designed to act as the supplement to your growing heifer’s needs. For the farmers that prefer using mostly silage or haylage, this feed can be added to your heifer or beef steer’s program to give it the extra nutrients it needs at a rate of 0.5 to 1.6 pounds per head per day. Can also be used as a concentrate if the farmer has their own corn they wish to used to keep costs down. In that case, mix at a rate of 4 pounds of ground ear or shell corn to 1 pound of 40% Developer.
